 strong></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Murray Scheel</strong> is the Managing At
 torney for the <a href="https://www.dcbar.org/pro-bono/free-legal-help/hel
 p-for-individuals/future-planning-probate-program">Future Planning &amp\; 
 Probate Program</a> at the <a href="https://www.dcbar.org/pro-bono">DC Bar
  Pro Bono Center</a>. In this role\, he is developing brief advice and rep
 resentation services for simple estate planning and probate for low-income
  District residents.</p>\n<p>Prior to joining the Pro Bono Center\, Murray
  worked as a senior staff attorney at Justice in Aging\, where he engaged 
 in Medicaid and Medicare policy advocacy. He also recently conducted publi
 c benefits counseling for participants in a guaranteed income project\, Mo
 ther&rsquo\;s Outreach Network.</p>\n<p>From 2013 to 2022\, Murray was a s
 enior staff attorney at Whitman-Walker Health\, the nation's oldest medica
 l-legal partnership\, dedicated to LGBTQ+ and HIV health. He focused on le
 gal services and policy initiatives to address the needs of elderly indivi
 duals\, including estate planning services and public benefits.</p>\n<p>Ea
 rlier in his career\, Murray served as a senior associate in civil litigat
 ion at Karp\, Wigodsky\, Norwind\, Kudel and Gold\, PA. Before entering pr
 ivate practice\, he clerked for the Honorable Noel A. Kramer on the DC Sup
 erior Court and the Honorable Vanessa Ruiz on the DC Court of Appeals.</p>
 \n<p>Murray holds a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Swarthmore College\,
  a Master of Social Work from University of Maryland School of Social Work
 \, and a Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School. He
  is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars.</p>\n<hr />\n<
