This 5-week workshop is an accessible and low-stakes opportunity to compose new poems\, read new and unfamiliar work s\, and talk about a few of the theories and forms that breathe new life i nto the subject of nature poetry. Nature poetry is a genre that uses the n atural world as its primary subject matter\, lens\, and inspiration.
\nAdditionally\, this course will emphasize poetry as a means of developi ng our attention to everyday experiences and the natural world we live&nbs p\;in. That said\, poetry can be whatever you want it to be\, so please if you decide to join us\, take whatever is most useful to you \;and you r writing!

\nAbout the presenter: Kurtis Ebeling is a writer and educator living in Spokane\, Washi ngton. He&rsquo\;s an MA in English and MFA in Creative writing graduate f rom EWU\, a founding coeditor for \;Croak Literary Magazine&mdash\;a t hemed lit mag that publishes frog inspired works&mdash\;a previous poetry editor for \;Willow Springs\, and a musician. His poetry has been publ ished with a number of journals\, including \;Art \;of Nothing&nbs p\;Press\, \;Pictura Journal\, The Dewdrop\, \;and \;Wild Roof Journal.
