If you've ever had a long-lost dream of be coming a scientist\, this club is for you! Scientists in almost every fiel d need input from people to process the huge amounts of data that their pr ojects collect-- analyzing images\, interpreting charts and graphs\, and m ore. Through the online platform Zooniverse\, anyone can sign up and contribute to scientific proj ects\, from classifying trail camera photos of adorable animals to listeni ng for unusual radio signals in the search for extraterrestrial life. Our club will assemble each month to work together and share updates on the pr ojects we're taking part in\, as well as learning about other hands-on way s to get involved. \nNew to citizen science? Susannah will give participants an overview of Zooniverse and help orient folks with a project of their choos ing. This program is suitable for people 10 and up\, though tweens 10-12 w ill need an adult accompanying them to help out! Participants will need a laptop\, phone\, or tablet. The library has a number of laptops available for use on a first-come\, first-served basis. Coffee and tea are provided.
