Intended for upper elementary children\, p articipants in this program will read Those Shoes by Maribeth Boe lts and reflect on the difference between what people have and who they ar e on the inside. After reading\, children will design a pair of illustrate d shoes that expresses their personality\, interests\, and feelings\, then create friendship bracelets to celebrate kindness\, empathy\, and support ing one another.
