Through the Lens: Photography as Personal Storytelling is an engaging\, interactive workshop designed for photograph ers of all skill levels &mdash\; whether you shoot with a smartphone\, a p oint-and-shoot\, or a DSLR. In this session\, we'll explore how photograph y is about more than taking pictures &mdash\; it's about being present\, f inding a story\, and making intentional choices about light\, composition\ , and timing. We'll cover practical techniques like natural framing and wo rking with different types of light\, followed by an in-room photo challen ge where you'll put the ideas into practice right away.
\nYour prese nter\, Rick Santich\, is a professional photographer with over three decad es of experience. Rick serves as a VIP Photographer for Cuyahoga Valley Na tional Park and leads the popular monthly Photo Exploration Hike programs there in partnership with the Conservancy for CVNP. He is also a published author\, co-creator of the children's picture book Rescue on the River: A Cuyahoga Valley National Park Adventure. Rick brings a warm\, approachabl e teaching style and a genuine passion for helping everyday people discove r &mdash\; and share &mdash\; the stories around them.
