Brandon Shimoda is the author of several b ooks of poetry and prose\, including \;The Afterlife Is Letting Go&nbs p\;(on the memory/forgetting of Japanese American incarceration) and \ ;The Grave on the Wall \;(an ancestral memoir)\, both published by Cit y Lights\, San Francisco.
