 s a celebrated author and illustrator whose works include 80 picture books
  for young readers\, and his notable achievements and collaborations with 
 renowned writers like Verna Aardema and Jane Yolen showcase his influence 
 in children&rsquo\;s literature and inspire educators and parents alike. A
 s a child\, Hillenbrand explored the streets of College Hill/Cincinnati in
  search of adventure and stories. He has spent most of his life in Cincinn
 ati\, Ohio\, where he grew up as the youngest of four boys\, with childhoo
 d routines revolving around the neighborhood\, his parents&rsquo\; barbers
 hop\, the Northern Hills Library\, playing baseball\, and drawing.&nbsp\;<
 /div>\n<div></div>\n<div>He now works in a small Terrace Park studio in th
 e upstairs of his Cape Cod home\, which he shares with his wife\, Jane\, a
  kindergarten teacher\, and their son\, Ian\, a geologist\, who is an avid
  reader and writer with many published scientific papers\, currently doing
  postdoctoral work at the United States Geological Survey in Denver\, Colo

 ational displays and interactive elements to learn more about our feathere
 d friends. <span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">The Audubon will bring
  a selection of bird biofacts (nests\, eggs\, skulls\, beaks\, taxidermize
 d birds\, etc.) and a specimen matching game for the audience to explore.<
