 f Ecology\, Spirituality\, and Cosmology in Edwidge Danticat: Crossroads a
 s Ritual and an Associate Professor of English in Gullah Geechee Literatur
 e and Cultures and the Interim Director of the Gullah Geechee Cultural Her
 itage Center at Georgia Southern University. She received her Ph.D. in Hum
 anities with a primary focus in African American Studies from Clark Atlant
 a University and earned a BA and MA in English\, with a focus in Creative 
 Writing and literature from Florida State University. Her research interes
 ts include 19th\, 20th\, and 21st century African American and diasporic l
 iterature\, as well as African cosmological and spiritual continuities in 
 diasporic literature\, including Gullah Geechee literature and culture. Sp
 ecifically\, her research attends to the textual topography diasporic auth
 ors create to contemplate Africana subjectivity and consciousness.&nbsp\;<
