  exhibition <em>Diasporacity&nbsp\;</em>highlights and celebrates the impa
 ct of migrant communities on shaping the rich cultural landscape of the na
 tion&rsquo\;s capital and the United States as a whole.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Fea
 turing new and recent work of five D.C.-based artists with diasporic roots
  &ndash\; Andrea Limauro\, Helen Zughaib\, Julia Chon\, Mas Paz\, and Mero
 n Engida Hawke &ndash\; visitors are invited to reflect on the story of Am
 erica &ldquo\;the melting pot&rdquo\;&nbsp\;and its proposed belief system
 s. Highly graphic figurative and lush landscape paintings illustrate the c
 ontributions of Americans with diasporic roots\, the power of cross-cultur
 al solidarity and how artists stay connected and reflect on their places o
 f origin. Ultimately\, <em>Diasporacity</em> provides a microcosm of how d
 iverse communities have shaped the city&rsquo\;s and country&rsquo\;s iden
