DESCRIPTION:At this three-day STEM camp\, middle school students with neur
 odevelopmental disabilities will learn video game-making in a welcoming\,

 designed especially for middle school kids with cognitive disabilities\, s
 uch as autism\, ADHD and dyslexia. Over three days\, students will explore
  how video games are created while working in a calm\, sensory-friendly le
 arning space.</p>\n<p>Using Nintendo Switch and beginner-friendly game des
 ign tools\, kids will design and improve their own simple video games. Alo
 ng the way\, they will collaborate with peers and supportive mentors while
  developing skills such as problem-solving\, creativity\, data analysis an
 d critical thinking. These experiences help students build confidence whil
 e discovering how their interests can connect to STEM learning.</p>\n<p>Th
 e program was created by a team from the University of Missouri School of 
 Information Science &amp\; Learning Technologies\, including educators\, t
 echnologists\, instructional designers and accessibility specialists. The 
 workshop is designed to be inclusive\, supportive and engaging for neurodi
 verse learners.</p>\n<p>Snacks will be provided each day. Students should
