 ain's Loyal Colonies Lost: The American Revolution in Florida</em></p>\n<p
 >As 13 of Britain&rsquo\;s colonies declared independence in 1776\, the em
 pire&rsquo\;s Florida colonies\, East Florida and West Florida\, remained 
 loyal to King George. Eyed by American and Spanish forces alike\, the Flor
 idas were soon engulfed in war. This lecture tells the often-overlooked st
 ory of Florida in the War of Independence.</p>\n<p>David Head is associate
  lecturer of history at the University of Central Florida. He has publishe
 d five books. His most recent is <em>A Republic of Scoundrels: The Schemer
 s\, Intriguers\, and Adventurers Who Created a New American Nation</em>. I
 n addition to his academic work\, Dr. Head has written for USA Today and t
 he Orlando Sentinel.<strong></strong></p>\n<p><strong>The exhibition\, Ame
 rican Revolution: The 250th Anniversary Experience\, will be on view at Ma
 in Library July 1-31\, 2026.</strong></p>\n<p>From daily life in Colonial 
 Virginia to Valley Forge\, from rising tensions in Boston to Washington&rs
 quo\;s daring Delaware crossing&mdash\;and finally the victory at Yorktown
 &mdash\;this augmented exhibition plunges visitors into the defining momen
 ts of America&rsquo\;s birth.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>8 life-size digital recreatio
 ns immerse you with striking realism in the Revolutionary era.&nbsp\;</p>\
 n<p>Stepping directly into these pivotal scenes\, visitors experience the 
 landscapes\, sounds\, and emotions of the time. Visitors travel across cen
 turies and geography\, comparing past and present\, and creating a bridge

 ve historical experience that is engaging and easy-to-use for all ages.</p

  developed by Histoverythat will serve as a portal to enter history.</p>\n
 <p>With the HistoPadtablet\, visitors explore freely\, meet historical fig
 ures\, embark on treasure hunts\, and track down war relics and iconic obj
 ects of the Revolution\, uncovering stories at their own rhythm.</p>\n<p><

  and in partnership with the Museum of the American Revolution\, the proje
 ct combines rigorous research with cutting-edge technology to spark explor
