Need reliable phone service to stay connec ted with family\, healthcare providers\, employers\, schools\, and importa nt community resources? Join us at the library for a Lifeline Phone Sign-U p Event in partnership with the City of Hoboken's Social Services team and the Library Social Worker.
\nRepresentatives will be available on-s ite to help eligible residents apply for the federal Lifeline program\, wh ich provides discounted or free phone service to qualifying individuals an d families. Participants may be eligible to receive a free mobile phone wi th talk\, text\, and data service. A one-time $5 copay applies. Eligibilit y and final approval are determined during the application process at the event.
\nThis event is designed to make the enrollment process as si mple and accessible as possible. Staff will be available to answer questio ns\, review eligibility requirements\, assist with applications\, and help participants understand the benefits available through the program.
\nHaving access to a phone is often essential for scheduling medical appo intments\, communicating with schools\, applying for jobs\, receiving emer gency notifications\, accessing social services\, and staying connected wi th loved ones. This event provides an opportunity for residents who qualif y to gain access to these important communication tools.
