 cter Hannibal Lecter in film and his impact on pop culture. The focus will
  be on the films <em>The&nbsp\;Silence of The Lambs</em> and <em>Manhunter
 </em> but other films and shows in the franchise will be discussed. &nbsp\
 ;</p>\n<p>In his 1981 book\, <em>Red Dragon</em>\, Thomas Harris introduce
 d the world to his fictional creation Hannibal Lecter. The book was adapte
 d into Michael Mann's 1986 cult classic&nbsp\;<em>Manhunter</em> with Bria
 n Cox playing the brilliant and sinister Lecter. Harris continued to explo
 re the character in several books including his 1988 sequel novel <em>The 
 Silence of The Lambs</em>\, which was made into the sensationally successf
 ul thriller of the same name in 1991 with Anthony Hopkins playing Hannibal
 . His performance was iconic\, leading to him continuing to be cast in the
  role multiple times in the years that followed. Most recently\, Mads Mikk
 elsen has played Lecter in the critically acclaimed thriller series <em>Ha
 nnibal</em>.&nbsp\;The character's popularity and audience&rsquo\;s fascin
 ation with clever and charismatic killers has clearly not diminished. Octo
 ber being the spooky season\, we'll be discussing&nbsp\;<em>Manhunter</em>
  and&nbsp\;<em>The Silence of The Lambs</em>. We'll also likely touch on&n
 bsp\;the other content in the franchise\; talking about the lasting impact
  of the character and similar cinematic monsters in popular culture.</p>\n
 <p>Guests are welcome to also watch the other films in the franchise and t
 he TV series as those are sure to be discussed. But this is not required. 
 Also worth mentioning\, guests do not necessarily have to watch both main 
 movies we'll be focusing on.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Join us each month to d
