1\,000 Books Before Kindergarten is a simple\, self-pac ed challenge for newborns\, infants\, toddlers\, and preschoolers. The goa l is to read 1\,000 books together before your child begins kindergarten. Reading with young children supports early literacy\, builds skills that p repare them for school\, and creates meaningful opportunities for bonding.

Every book counts&mdash\;including books read more than once\, bo oks shared at library storytimes\, and books read by siblings or other car egivers.
