The dog days of summer are here! Take a br eak from outdoor birding ventures\, and connect with some board game birdi ng. We&rsquo\;re partnering with the Feminist Bird Club DMV and invite you to join us for their next meet-up playing Wingspan\, the fun board game a bout birds created by local game designer Elizabeth Hargrave. Join us to p lay birders seeking to attract the best birds to our network of wildlife p reserves. Each habitat in the game is associated with an action (gaining f ood\, laying eggs\, drawing cards). Each bird that you play makes you bett er at those actions\, triggering its own power each time you use its habit at.
\nWingspan beginners are welcome! No prior experience required\, but we do recommend watching a YouTube c lip before attending to get a sense of the game. If you own a copy of the game and want to bring it\, that would be great! More games mean we ca n have more players\, so please let us know here: \;adultservices.dcpl @dc.gov.
\nWe&rsquo\;re meeting on Saturday\, August 15 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Martin Luther King\, Jr. Memorial Library\, Room 401-A. Y ou can find it in the Conference Center of the 4th floor. \;
