 franchised grief' refers to grief that is not openly acknowledged\, social
 ly supported\, or publicly mourned. This can include non-death losses\, st
 igmatized relationships or causes of death\, situations where individuals 
 are not recognized as grievers\, or when their way of grieving is judged o
 r misunderstood.</p>\n<p>In this workshop\, the Grief and Bereavement Team
  at Carpenter Hospice explores how disenfranchised grief can affect our li
 ves and relationships\,&nbsp\;as well as the range of supports and service
 s they provide.</p>\n<p>This session is open to anyone in the community wh
 o wants to deepen their understanding of grief\, build compassion for them
 selves and others\, and learn about pathways to healing and support.</p>\n
