Join poets Carol and Judy as they read poe ms saturated with color from a new anthology\, \;The Color Wheel. It features 117 poems by 117 poets&mdash\;and five are from Oregon. I magine the delirium of yellow as bees take to the flower garden\, or the c ool green of a stream where lovers reconnect. The scarlet of that red dres s daring to wear\, the black dress unbuttoned by the mistress as she drive s home. We invite visual artists as well as writers across the spectrum to join us.
\nJudy (blue/gold/black) and Carol (pink) will read their own poems and a rainbow&rsquo\;s worth of their favorites from the antholo gy. \; They will be happy to talk about writing and how color enriches writing and life in the Q and A afterwards. \; A few copies of&nb sp\;The Color Wheel \;will be available for purchase\, as well co pies of Carol and Judy&rsquo\;s own poetry books. \;

Car ol Barrett has published three volumes of poetry\, most recently \;Reading Wind\, and one of creative nonfiction\, \;Pansies. An NEA Fellow in Poetry\, she currently supervises creative dissertati ons for doctoral students at two universities.

Judith H. Montgomery&rsquo\;s poems appear in the \;Gyroscope\, \;South Florida Poe try Review\, \;Tar River Poetry\, and \;Epiphany \, among other journals. Her chapbook \;Passion \;re ceived the Oregon Book Award for Poetry. Her second full-length collection \, \;Litany for Wound and Bloom\, a finalist for the Marsh Ha wk Prize\, appeared in 2018. \; Her prize-winning narrative medicine c hapbook\, \;Mercy\, appeared from Wolf Ridge Press in 2019. H er latest chapbook\, \;The Ferry Keeper\, received the 2024 G rayson Books Chapbook Competition Prize.
