Spokane Public Library has partnered with the \;Spokane Calligraphy Guild \;to put on the exhibit &ldquo\;Ca lligraphy: The Art of Beautiful \;Lettering". Most of the displayed ma terials are from guild members\, with supplemental items from the library& rsquo\;s Inland Northwest Special Collection (beautiful lettering has long been in practice in the art of books!). \;

This Ill uminations event features author and illustrator\, Karyn Jeffrey\, and her book\, Life in Letters\, as well as items from the library&rsquo \;s rare book collection. Get a close-up look at these items and hear from Karyn about the journey of making and lettering a \;handmade book. Af ter the presentation\, members of the Guild will be on hand to calligraph names and \;answer questions about the Guild and the exhibit. \;\n

Arrive on time\, at 11:00 am\, to hear Karyn Jeffrey's presentation and then stay to browse the materials and exhibit!
