X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Discover the basics of 3D modeling with th
 e Tinkercad software (www.tinkercad.com). Tinkercad is a free\, online\, s
implistic 3D modeling software. It is owned by Autodesk\, creators of Fusi
on 360\, 3DS Max\, and AutoCAD. Unlike those packages\, it is geared towar
d beginners. If you ever wanted to figure out how to make or edit a 3D mod
el for use in 3D printing\, this is the easiest and most accessible softwa
re for the job. A librarian from our Making department will lead the group
\, assisting with account setup\, completion of a basic design\, and demon
stration of how to submit a completed model for 3D printing later. Your ac
count and 3D design will be yours\, and you will be able to return to it f
rom any computer at any time if you&rsquo\;d like to go back and edit it l
ater. Registration is to ensure there are enough computer stations to allo
w participation. If you haven't registered\, you are welcome to attend and
observe\, but computer stations will be offered to registrants first.</p>
