 ve quarter at&nbsp\;Sellmans Connexion\, a Southern Maryland plantation ho
 use (now called&nbsp\;Woodlawn) built in 1735 and substantially enlarged i
 n 1841. Such service buildings commonly occurred on "showcase" plantations
  in the Chesapeake Region circa 1740-1864 (until Emancipation)\, typically
  housing the enslaved people who worked in them. Architectural survey data
 \, architectural material\, cooking utensils\, and ceramic and glass wares
  provide a provisional model for detached kitchen assemblages.</p>\n<p>Thi
