\nThe E nvironmental Center's Rethink Waste Project \;coordinates with an amaz ing group of volunteer fixers to host Repair Café\;s every few month s. These free events connect people with broken stuff to people who like t o fix stuff - they're all about repairing things (together). Stuff like je welry\, small appliances and electronics\, outdoor gear\, clothing\, bicyc les\, furniture\, and more. \;Repair Café\;s are held around the world! Repairing with other people saves natural resources\, prevents was te\, and cultivates community.
\nWhat to expect: \;
\nAttendees bring their broken items to the registration table to receive a Repair Ticket\, then wait until their number is called. Exper ienced fixer volunteers will attempt to repair or mend your items and may teach you how to fix them yourself. Fixers can diagnose an issue and offer their best\, unbiased advice.
\nSome items are more difficult to re pair\, can take longer than we have time for at the event\, or even break more during a repair attempt. Our repair rate is over 65%\, with most of t he remaining items receiving take-home repair instructions.

\nWha t to bring:
\nClothing\, textiles\, outdoo r gear\, electronics\, small appliances\, and other household goods. \ ;Not sure if it can be fixed? Bring it!
\nOnly bring items small eno ugh to be easily carried by one person\, and do not bring any items that a re leaking\, dangerous\, or dirty. Repairers can turn down any items that do not meet these guidelines.
\nA maximum of one broken item per per son will be examined at a time\, but you are welcome to bring several item s. After each item is examined/repaired\, you must return to the registrat ion table to be matched with another fixer volunteer for a second item.
\nSome repairs might require replacement parts. Fixer volunteers will let you know exactly what's needed\, and you're welcome to purchase parts at a nearby hardware store and bring the item back to the Repair Caf&eacut e\; to complete the repair\, or take home repair instructions instead. Whi le the event and repairs are free\, you will be responsible for the cost o f any additional parts.

\nRepair Café\; es un evento comunitario GRATUITO que reú\;ne a person as con objetos rotos con personas a las que les gusta arreglar cosas.
\ nEl Proyecto Rethink Waste del Environmental Center coordina con un inc reí\;ble grupo de voluntarios reparadores para organizar Repair Caf& eacute\;s cada pocos meses. El objetivo de estos eventos es extender la vi da ú\;til de nuestras pertenencias mediante la reparació\;n\, y al mismo tiempo fomentar la comunidad. Puedes traer cosas como joyer&iac ute\;a\, pequeñ\;os electrodomé\;sticos y electró\;nicos \, equipo para exteriores\, ropa y má\;s.
\nEn el mundo actual \, muchas veces es má\;s fá\;cil (y a veces má\;s barato ) tirar algo roto y comprar algo nuevo. Sin embargo\, reparar y reutilizar lo que ya tenemos es mucho mejor para nuestro medio ambiente. Reparar con otras personas ahorra recursos naturales\, evita residuos y fortalece la comunidad.

\nQué\; Traer
Puedes traer ropa\, textiles\,
equipo para exteriores\, electró\;nicos\, pequeñ\;os electrodo
mé\;sticos y otros artí\;culos del hogar. Solo trae cosas que
puedan ser transportadas fá\;cilmente por una persona y no traigas n
ada que esté\; goteando o sea peligroso. Se examinará\; un m&a
acute\;ximo de un artí\;culo roto por persona a la vez\, pero puedes
traer varios artí\;culos.
Contaremos con un ayudante que po drá\; hacer viajes a ACE si se necesitan piezas. Aunque el evento y las reparaciones son gratuitas\, tú\; será\;s responsable del costo de cualquier pieza adicional. ¡\;Por favor\, lleva dinero en ef ectivo por si acaso!
