 >About the instructor</strong>: Paula McCarty began her studies in paintin
 g at Parkland College before earning a BFA in Painting and Drawing from Un
 iversity of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1999. She later relocated to Cali
 fornia\, where she completed her MFA at California State University\, Long
  Beach.</p>\n<p>McCarty has taught in the Art Department at Parkland Colle
 ge and has led painting courses through the college&rsquo\;s non-credit pr
 ogram since 2012. Since 2017\, she has served as exhibition designer at Sp
 ringer Cultural Center. Her work has been exhibited regionally and nationa
 lly\, and she maintains an active studio practice in Champaign\, Illinois.
 </p>\n<p><span style="color: #008000\;"><strong>Registration opens&nbsp\;&
 nbsp\;</strong></span>&nbsp\; October 1 at 9:00 am (closes October 13). Re
 gistration is required.</p>\n<hr />\n<p>These workshops are very popular a
 nd "sell out" quickly. Here are the details:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Classe
 s are limited&nbsp\; &nbsp\;</strong>to 40 participants.</li>\n<li><strong
 >There is a small waitlist&nbsp\; &nbsp\;</strong>&nbsp\;in case there are
  last-minute cancellations.</li>\n<li><strong>Craft supplies&nbsp\; &nbsp\
 ;</strong>&nbsp\;are provided.&nbsp\;</li>\n<li>Light Refreshments will be
  provided for "Happy Hour" from 6-6:30 pm.</li>\n<li>Instruction will begi
