 United States and this has inspired Liz to adopt<br />a new them for this 
 month which will be: &ldquo\;Artists Who Influenced Early America&rdquo\;.
 </p>\n<p>For the first artist\, students will look at the work of Jennie A
 ugusta Brownscombe.<br />Brownscombe was one of the founding members of th
 e Art Students League in New York and<br />her work was widely popular bec
 ause of her naturalistic style. She painted scenes from<br />Colonial hist
 ory to help her viewers escape from the increasing depressive life of encr
 oaching<br />industrialization and 1800s urbanization. Although her works 
 evoked nostalgic feelings she<br />researched her depictions from first pe
 rson accounts\, including\, what may have been her most<br />popular piece
 \, Thanksgiving at Plymouth. Students will also look at people in Colonial
  dress<br />and copy and recreate figures in the clothing worn 250 years a
 go in the very young U.S.A. This<br />will be a wonderful way to practice 
 and improve their life drawing skills.</p>\n<p>All are welcome!</p>\n<p>Th
 is program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.</p>\n
 <p>Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online.
  Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zo
