Everyone should have an opportunity to lea rn about computer science! Coding for fun is an introduction to computer s cience and uses self-led tutorials over the course of one hour. The goal o f the "Hour of Code" tutorials is not to teach everyone to become an exper t in computer science\, but allows everyone to have fun\, improve problem solving skills\, logic\, reading for understanding\, and to be creative. T his builds a great foundation for learning computer languages and how to w rite a code for younger ages. In this game-based learning activity\, patro ns will step into the shoes of Google researchers using AI to solve real-w orld challenges. \;The central understanding is that humans c an address some of humanity's biggest unsolved challenges. Program is limi ted to 10 \;participants. \; \;
\nThis program was designed for 2nd grade and up\, but younger children may attend if an adult/guardian/caregiver is present to assist th em throughout the program. Each child in sixth grade or younger attending the program must be directly supervised and assisted by a responsible care giver while in the Studio. Most ACPL programs welcome guests\, however the Studio programs can only accommodate registered patrons and their supervi sing caregivers. \; \;
