 ith White Pine nominated author Matteo L. Cerilli. Hear about the creative
  process behind his books\, along with his experiences in youth activism t
 hat have shaped his writing and his commitment to community care. This eve
 nt explores the importance of providing messy\, authentic queer and trans 
 stories for kids and teens&mdash\;especially in today&rsquo\;s challenging
  and often overwhelming climate.</p>\n<p>Matteo L. Cerilli (he/him) is a t
 ransmasc author and activist writing speculative fiction for all ages. His
  books include LOCKJAW (Tundra\, 2024)\, Something&rsquo\;s Up With Arlo (
 HarperCollins Canada\, 2025)\, and BAD IN THE BLOOD (Tundra\, 2025)\, with
  FATHOM FALL (Bloomsbury\, 2026). A community organizer\, he has worked on
  trans student healthcare at York University and co-founded Students for Q
 ueer Liberation&ndash\;Tkaronto\, and has organized with the No Pride in P
 olicing Coalition.</p>\n<p>Through moving readings and open conversation\,
  our guests will explore identity\, creativity\, and the social issues tha
 t impact trans lives today. Whether you're curious about writing\, passion
 ate about justice\, or just looking to hear voices that reflect the world 
 around you\, this event is a safe and welcoming space to listen\, learn\,
