X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Ready to level up your kitchen skills and
make an impact in your community? Let Us Cook is a unique\, four-session c
ivic engagement program designed specifically for adults ages 18&ndash\;24
. Meeting on select Sundays throughout August and September\, this program
bridges the gap between personal culinary independence and community advo
 cacy.<br />&nbsp\;<br />Cooking healthy meals shouldn't require a commerci
al kitchen. In this hands-on workshop\, you&rsquo\;ll master the basics of
  nutritious\, budget-friendly\, no-oven cooking. But we aren't just lookin
g at what's on our own plates\, we&rsquo\;re looking at the bigger picture
. Together\, we will dive into our local food ecosystem\, learning about f
ood insecurity\, sustainability\, and the vital food resources available r
ight here in our community.<br />&nbsp\;<br />Throughout the program\, you
'll learn alongside featured guests including food justice advocates and s
ustainability experts. You&rsquo\;ll also put your new knowledge into acti
on through a hands-on service project: building curated food kits packed w
ith pantry staples and essential cooking tools. Every participant will get
to create kits to take home for themselves\, as well as kits to give away
to local individuals and families in need.</p>\n<p>Come learn\, create\,
and give back. Get out of our way and Let Us Cook!</p>\n<p><em>Funding for
Let Us Cook is provided through our library's participation in the Urban
Libraries Council's Civic Makers Lab for Adults.</em></p>\nhttps://tscpl.l
