Los Angeles County Department of Mental He alth Promoters Program aims to reduce mental health stigma throughout Los Angeles County\, particularly in historically underserved cultural and lin guistic communities by increasing awareness about mental health issues\, r emoving barriers\, and improving timely access to culturally and linguisti cally appropriate resources. Mental Health Promoters Workshops tackle a ra nge of mental health topics to help Angelenos understand and manage their mental health. This program is held in partnership with the LA County Depa rtment of Mental Health.
\nWe are working to reduce stigma and empow er individuals to seek help when needed and recognize problems before they become crises.
\nIn this program\, participants will learn how to i dentify \;warning signs and common mental health concerns. Additionall y\, we will discuss ways to reduce the stigma often associated with mental health issues\, resiliency\, and ways to improve wellbeing.
