  Requirements:</p>\n<p>-Be at least 18 years old at the time of filing For
 m N-400\, Application for Naturalization.<br />-Be a permanent resident (h
 ave a &ldquo\;Green Card&rdquo\;) for at least 5 years or 3 years if you a
 djusted through marriage.<br />-Show that you have lived for at least 3 mo
 nths in the state or USCIS district where you apply.<br />-Demonstrate con
 tinuous residence in the United States for at least 5 years.<br />-Show th
 at you have been physically present in the United States for at least 30 m
 onths out of the last 5 years.<br />-Be able to read\, write\, and speak b
 asic English.<br />-Have a basic understanding of U.S. history and governm
 ent (civics).<br />-Be a person of good moral character.</p>\n<p><span sty
