 es through her art pursuits over the last 15 years. The use of bold quirky
  mediums\, particularly through textiles and embroidery lead to narratives
  that carry weight with a level of permanence that is difficult to dismiss
 .<br /><br /><strong>ONE AND THE SAME: LIFE VS. DEATH AND TRANSFORMATION</
 strong><br />This exhibition with thirteen pieces of mixed media (primaril
 y with a focus on textiles) exploring the lines of life and transformation
  which can be found even in the mundane. DJ believes that life is a resili
 ent force of energy that even when destruction and chaos seem obvious\, li
 fe perseveres. Simple things as grass and plants growing through concrete\
 , or the use of something that was meant for destruction actually doing th
 at opposite. These pieces spark the conversation that nothing every truly 
 ends and the lines between life\, decay\, transformation and death blur.<b
