 scuss ways to make their work marketable\, whether it is to agents\, publi
 shers or readers. Writers will practice talking about their work succinctl
 y. The discussion will be moderated by a writer who has&nbsp\;gone through
  the publishing process in the genre. This session will also allow writers
  to meet make connections with other writers.</p>\n<h5><strong>About the P
 resenter</strong></h5>\n<p>J. B. Hogan is an author\, poet\, and local his
 torian. A veteran of the U. S. Air Force Security Service and Tactical Air
  Command\, he holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from Arizona State Unive
 rsity (1979). For many years he worked as a technical writer in Arizona an
 d Colorado. To date\, he has published some 400 stories\, poems\, and arti
 cles\, as well as over a dozen books including Angels in the Ozarks\, The 
 Square Book (secondary author)\, and two volumes in his Forgotten Fayettev
 ille and Washington County series.</p>\n<p>He has served as chair and a me
 mber of the Fayetteville (AR) Historic District Commission and as presiden
 t and board member of the Washington County (AR) Historical Society (WCHS)
 . In October 2019\, he received the WCHS Distinguished Citizen Award. In 2
 024 he was awarded the Secretary of State&rsquo\;s Arkansas Diamond Award.
  He is the 2025 inductee into the Arkansas Writers Hall of Fame.</p>\n<hr
