Nicho boxes are an artesaní\;a commo nly seen in Mexico and the Southwest of the United States. They are little boxes dedicated to heroes\, saints\, and loved ones. Sometimes in Mexico\ , particularly during Day of the Dead\, artisans use the platform to creat e vignettes of the afterlife. Using little skeletons that depict moments i n everyday life\, celebrations\, and celebrities\, artesanos can give us a glimpse into the afterlife.
