vlin Park. You will be led through a series of forest bathing invitations
by a local Certified Forest Therapy Guide.</p>\n<p><strong>What is Forest
 Bathing?</strong><br />"Forest bathing\, also known as&nbsp\;shinrin yoku\
, is a practice where participants bathe themselves in the forest atmosphe
re. There is no water involved in this practice\, and the bathing refers t
o immersing oneself in nature and the phytoncides\, a group of chemicals w
hich plants use to communicate with each other. Scientists are finding tha
t our bodies respond to these chemical signals in ways which are beneficia
l for us. Practicing forest bathing has been shown to increase immune resp
onse and decrease stress hormones in the body."</p>\n<p><strong>What to Ex
pect?</strong></p>\n<p>We will begin by slowly walking on an unpaved trail
.&nbsp\; There will be invitations to meditate\, share your experience wit
h the group\, sit or lay down on a yoga mat (provided)\, or stand and obse
rve nature.&nbsp\; Total hiking distance of 1 mile over uneven terrain.</p
