The New York Fathering Conference Committee\, the Whi te Plains Youth Bureau\, Grandpas United\, and JumpStart for Dads are prou d to designate the month of \;September as "Color Him Father" Month&md ash\;a month-long celebration recognizing the invaluable role fathers\, st epfathers\, grandfathers\, mentors\, and father figures play in the lives of children and families.

The theme\, \;Color Him Father\, is inspired by the classic R&\;B hit by \;The Winstons. The song tells the touching story of a stepfather who marries a widow and lovingly raise s her children after their biological father is killed in the war. In appr eciation of his love\, sacrifice\, guidance\, and unwavering commitment\, the children proudly proclaim\, \;"Color Him Father." \;The song r emains a timeless tribute to the profound impact a caring father figure ca n have on a child's life.
