Help us kick off Hunger Action Month with Civic Saturday at Williams Library! This welcoming community gathering bri ngs people together through music\, stories\, conversation\, and shared ex periences to explore issues that matter close to home.

We'll \;hear from Sylvia with the Arkansas Hung er Relief Alliance about hunger in our communities\, enjoy a community dru m circle led by Stephin Booth\, \;and experience \;a \;poetry& nbsp\;reading from Toni Garcia-Butler. \;You'll \;also have the ch ance to take part in a B e Mighty Little Rock \;cook-along\, learn about the Dunbar Garden \;and its harvest\, and discov er ways that local food programs help strengthen our community. \;

We'll \;wrap up with a free lunch and time to connect with others\, ask questions\, and continue the conversation. \;

No experience or special knowledge is needed\; just bring yourself. Whe ther \;you're \;interested in your community\, curious about Civic Saturday\, or simply looking for a welcoming way to spend part of your we ekend\, \;we'd \;love to have you join us and bring a friend.â€ ¯

Civic Makers Lab for Adultsâ€¯is a grant and peer-learning program that equips librarians to serve as civic learning fa cilitators and empowers young adults ages 18-24 to be active contributors to their communities. Through experiential civic learning (the process of& nbsp\;acquiring \;civic knowledge and skills through action)\, librari es will build new pathways for young adults into civic life\, rooted in cu riosity\, connection\, and community problem-solving\, rather than partisa nship. \;
