This summer\, aspiring young filmmakers ca n go behind the scenes and experience every step of the filmmaking process in an exciting new Film Camp presented in partnership with Brookfield vid eo production company \;Motion Source.
\nOver four weeks\, Film Camp participants will work alongside professional filmmakers to learn the art of visual storytelling\, camera operation\, studio lighting\, audio p roduction\, directing\, acting\, and film editing. Each session is divided evenly between instruction and hands-on application. Teens will meet at t he Library and at Motion Source?s professional studio in Brookfield\, wher e they?ll have the opportunity to work with real studio cameras and lighti ng equipment.
\nBy the end of the Film Camp\, participants will have collaborated to produce their own short film! Film campers and their fami lies will be invited to a Red Carpet Screening and Q&\;A event at the L ibrary on Saturday\, August 29 at 6:30 p.m. to celebrate the premiere of t he finished film.
\nThis unique opportunity is open to Brookfield te ens in 8th grade and up. Attendance at all sessions is mandatory. A refund able $10 registration fee will be returned upon successful completion of a ll Film Camp sessions. Cash or check accepted. Space is limited to 10 teen s\; registration is required.
