Whether in boxes under the bed or basement most of us have family photographs and letters that are important to us. Preserving these precious items can feel like a challenge. In the first ha lf of this workshop a Milwaukee Public Library archivist will share soluti ons to common challenges of preservation\, specifically for photographs an d letters. In the second half of this workshop a Milwaukee Public Library digital collections librarian will provide steps to help you scan your doc uments and photos\, instruction on how to save these digital files\, and s ome free options that allow you to upload and share your photos online. Pa rticipants will receive a preservation starter kit.
