X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Appreciate the art of cinema? Join us to w
atch\, then discuss a foreign film led by members of Geneva's Internationa
l Cultural Exchange Committee (ICEC). This month's selection is <em>The Ma
id / La Nana</em> (Chile). After 23 years working as a devoted maid in an
upper-class Chilean household\, embittered and ailing Raquel can no longer
care for the family alone. Trapped by guilt\, matriarch Pilar refuses to
let Raquel go\, even though it is clear their longtime maid is slowly unra
veling. Instead\, Pilar hires more help\, throwing Raquel into a jealous f
renzy. The seemingly happy home soon becomes the stage for Raquel's dirty
tricks as she attempts to drive away anyone who threatens to take her plac
 e. Released in 2009. Run time is 1 hr 36 min. NR. This film was chosen in
honor of Hispanic Heritage Month\, celebrated annually from Sept. 15 to Oc
 t. 15.</p>\n<p>Photography Policy: By attending Library programs\, you con
