Calling all friends and fans of local thea ter\, Victorian literature\, and Queer literature!

Our presenter\, Edie Backman (MFA)\, will lead a dramaturgical discussion\, tackling such questions as:

How do The Brontë\; sisters\, Jane Austen\, and other Victorian authors influence contemporary theater and art? How do ho mage and satire factor in Victorian-inspired theater? What LGBTQ+ themes a re found in Victorian literature and how are they expressed? \; How do modern theater directors and actors approach material derived from such c lassic literature?

After the initial presentation\, local professi onal actors from Nu Sass Theater&nbs p\;will perform staged readings of selected scenes from the play Brontë\; Sister House Party\, followed by Q & \; A.
