The program is designed to engage youth\, their parents and older adults. There is a web-based course available that along with in person classes covers\; the unique dangers of personal eVeh icles and how to mitigate them\, best practices to make their use easier\, local laws throughout the valley. \; \;
\nThe course starts with a self-paced national safety training conducted online. Contact Russty.Scott@CSN.edu for the link to this portion. After which students come to an in-person session. Where id eas and concepts will be covered through facilitated discussion and fun ac tivities designed to reinforce key points\, answer questions\, provide con text about Nevada&rsquo\;s road safety and laws for eBikes and eScooters a nd discuss proper fit and selection of safety gear and where to acquire it locally.
\nThis class is suitable for all ages\, but parents are en couraged to take it with their children as liability is theirs not the chi ld&rsquo\;s. Ownership of an eVehicle is not required. There will be no ri ding of them in this class.
