 Ensemble.&nbsp\; The group&rsquo\;s purpose is to promote the listening en
 joyment of concert band music for the Greater Birmingham Area while provid
 ing local musicians an opportunity to get together to do what they love --
  play their instruments. The membership boasts a very diverse group of ins
 trumentalists of all ages\, backgrounds\, professions\, and ability levels
 . This group is conducted by Deanna Bell.</p>\n<p>The Birmingham Community
  Concert Band Association was founded in 1980. It currently sponsors two g
 roups: the Birmingham Community Concert Band and the Birmingham Wind Ensem
 ble. Both groups rehearse weekly and perform several concerts at various t
 imes and locations throughout the year.</p>\n<p>The Birmingham Community C
 oncert Band meets every Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00pm in the band ro
 om at John Carroll Catholic High School.<br />It is under the direction of
  Harry McAfee during the Academic Year\, Dr. Johnny Jacobs during the summ
 er\, and Greg Gumina for our Christmas series. Alan Brooks serves as subst
 itute when needed.</p>\n<p>The Birmingham Wind Ensemble meets on Wednesday
 s from 7:00 to 9:00pm in the UAB Band Room within Hulsey Hall.</p>\n<p>The
  membership is completely volunteer. The BCCB Association is registered as
  a 501 C-3 not for profit organization and welcomes tax deductible donatio
 ns.</p>\n<p>Individuals interested in becoming a member of one or both of
