If you've ever had a long-lost dream of be coming a scientist\, this club is for you! Scientists in almost every fiel d need input from people to process the huge amounts of data that their pr ojects collect-- analyzing images\, interpreting charts and graphs\, and m ore. Through the online platform \;Zooniverse\, anyone can sign up and contribute to scientific projec ts\, from classifying trail camera photos of adorable animals to listening for unusual radio signals in the search for extraterrestrial life. Our cl ub will assemble each month to work together and share updates on the proj ects we're taking part in\, as well as learning about other hands-on ways to get involved. \nNew to citizen science? Susannah will give participants an overview of Zooniverse and help orient folks with a project of their c hoosing. This program is suitable for people 10 and up\, though tweens 10- 12 will need an adult accompanying them to help out! Participants will nee d a laptop\, phone\, or tablet. The library has a number of laptops availa ble for use on a first-come\, first-served basis. Coffee and tea are provi ded.
