 g></p>\n<p>Freshwater Lands documents the importance of the Orinoco River 
 wetlands. Through stunning imagery and interviews with local communities\,
  it offers insight into the value and benefits of this wetland\, considere
 d one of the largest in South America. Today\, its fragility threatens a r
 esource that is becoming increasingly scarce worldwide: fresh water.</p>\n
 <p>The film was highlighted by the United Nations in 2012 by the Climate C
 hange Secretariat (UNFCCC) and in 2010 at the Shanghai International Expos
 ition. Additionally\, the film won international awards including Best Eco
 logical Documentary (Big Apple Latin Film Awards)\, First Prize in Environ
 ment and Sustainable Development category (IV Independent Hispano-American
  Video Documentary Festival)\, and Special Mention in Ecofilms (Rodos Inte
