 ofrece una visi&oacute\;n de los valores y beneficios de este humedal\, co
 nsiderado uno de los m&aacute\;s grandes de Suram&eacute\;rica. Hoy en d&i

 caso en el mundo: el agua dulce.</p>\n<p><strong>Film Summary:</strong></p
 >\n<p>Freshwater Lands documents the importance of the Orinoco River wetla
 nds. Through stunning imagery and interviews with local communities\, it o
 ffers insight into the value and benefits of this wetland\, considered one
  of the largest in South America. Today\, its fragility threatens a resour
 ce that is becoming increasingly scarce worldwide: fresh water.</p>\n<p>Th
 e film was highlighted by the United Nations in 2012 by the Climate Change
  Secretariat (UNFCCC) and in 2010 at the Shanghai International Exposition
 . Additionally\, the film won international awards including Best Ecologic
 al Documentary (Big Apple Latin Film Awards)\, First Prize in Environment 
 and Sustainable Development category (IV Independent Hispano-American Vide
 o Documentary Festival)\, and Special Mention in Ecofilms (Rodos Internati
