 as to life. Located within our Donaldsonville and St. Amant locations\, we
  encourage community members to check out these new hands-on workspaces an
 d collaborate\, create\, explore\, and build.</p>\n<p>To use equipment in 
 the Makerspace\, you must be an Ascension Parish Library cardholder* and t
 ake a training class to learn how to safely operate the machines and the p
 rocedures for checking in\, out\, and cleaning up. After taking the class\
 , you will schedule a time to pass a task-based activity to earn a complet
 ion badge\, which will then allow you to use the equipment on your own.&nb
 sp\;</p>\n<p>Available Makerspace equipment at St. Amant includes:</p>\n<p
 >&middot\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Brother
  HC 1850 sewing - includes several needle and stitch options for many kind
 s of sewing projects.</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;
 &nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Bambu P2S 3D printer - creates physical objects from
  digital designs by building layers of material that can make toys\, music
 al instruments\, tools\, and more.</p>\n<p>&middot\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&
 nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Brother Scan-N-Cut - capable of cutting
 \, scoring\, and drawing or writing on various materials. It can be used w
 ith the Cricut Heat Press to create customized items like t-shirts.</p>\n<
 p>&middot\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Record
 ing Studio - record podcasts or music. The studio has microphones\, mixers
 \, an electric guitar\, a bass guitar\, a drum set\, a keyboard\, a green 
 screen\, some lighting\, and two high-quality cameras.</p>\n<p>&middot\;&n

 dash\; a 12-watt UV laser marker that uses a beam of light to cut\, engrav
 e\, and shape designs into wood\, acrylic\, glass\, fabric\, metals\, and

 bsp\; Carvera CNC &ndash\; Use our computerized numeric control (CNC) to m
 ill digital files into materials like wood\, aluminum\, copper\, and plast
