The 27th Street Brass Quintet is made up o f Central Oregon musicians mostly from the Central Oregon Symphony. The me mbers include Jeff Briggs and Ken Steiger on trumpet\, David Hymans on hor n\, Dan Flagg on trombone and the ever-energetic Barry Crenshaw on tuba. T hey will present a program of varied styles including jazz\, dance\, folk\ , and Classical selections. You may just go out the door dancing!

Music in Public Places is a program of the Central Oregon Symphony Association. MIPP concerts are designed to offer serendipitous m usic experiences for the community\, free of charge. The Central Oregon Sy mphony is a community-based orchestra\, the success of which is grounded i n the tremendous generosity of its members who volunteer their time and ta lent for the love of orchestral music. The ensemble was formed in 1967 as a part of the expanding Central Oregon Community College Fine Arts Departm ent. From modest beginnings the orchestra has grown to become a major play er in the local fine arts scene.
