The High Desert Wind Quintet is comprised of Mikaela Storm\, flute\; Ryan Zwahlen\, oboe\; Alephair Bylund\, clarine t\; Austin Storm\, bassoon\; and Stephanie Everett\, horn. Individually\, the five can be heard in various ensembles throughout Central Oregon\, inc luding the Central Oregon Symphony\, Cascade Winds\, and the Central Orego n Flute Ensemble.
\nMusic in Public Places is a pro gram of the Central Oregon Symphony Association. MIPP concerts are designe d to offer serendipitous music experiences for the community\, free of cha rge. The Central Oregon Symphony is a community-based orchestra\, the succ ess of which is grounded in the tremendous generosity of its members who v olunteer their time and talent for the love of orchestral music. The ensem ble was formed in 1967 as a part of the expanding Central Oregon Community College Fine Arts Department. From modest beginnings the orchestra has gr own to become a major player in the local fine arts scene.
