Thanks to a generous donation from the Pea rl Foundation\, we are pleased to have poet Jona Colson come to share his poems with us at Quince Orchard Library. After he reads he will answer you r questions about writing and publishing with WWPH. Then we invite partici pants to share their original poetry at an open mic.
\nJona Colson i s an educator and poet. His poems have appeared in The Southern Review\, P loughshares\, The Massachusetts Review\, and elsewhere. In addition to wri ting his own poetry\, he also translates the Spanish language poetry of Mi guel Avero from Montevideo\, Uruguay. \; Jona is currently a professor at Montgomery College in Maryland\, where he teaches English as a Second Language. And he is the Poetry Editor of WWPH Writes.
