Dr. Rodriguez is a Professor in the Depart ment of Spanish and Portuguese and U.S. Latina/o Studies at the University of Maryland\, College Park\, \;where she teaches courses in Latin Ame rican\, Central American\, and U.S. Latina/o literatures and cultures. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Literature from the University of Californ ia\, Santa Cruz and \;has published numerous scholarly articles\, and other books\, including De la hamaca al trono y al má\;s all&aac ute\;: Lecturas crí\;ticas de la obra de Manlio Argueta (co-edited w ith Linda J. Craft and Astvaldur Astvaldsson\; San Salvador: Univ ersidad Tecnoló\;gica\, 2013) and \;Dividing the Isthmu s: Central American Transnational Histories\, Literatures\, and Cultures&n bsp\;(University of Texas Press\, 2009).
