Join \;Quince Orchard Libr ary's Teen Advisory Board (TAB) \;to hel p shape teen programs\, displays\, volunteer projects\, and library spaces . TAB members share ideas with library staff\, give feedback\, plan upcomi ng activities\, and work with other teens on projects that support the lib rary and community.
\nThe first hour usually features a guest presen tation\, skill-building activity\, or discussion on a topic relevant to te ens. The second hour is for TAB reflection\, planning\, and project work. TAB members identify library and community needs\, help prepare service pr ojects\, take action through teen-led or teen-supported activities\, and r eflect on what they learned and who benefited.
\nNew members are wel come. You do not need prior volunteer or leadership experience. Teens can earn four Student Service-Learning (SSL) hours for attending the full meet ing and participating. Snacks are provided while supplies last.

\nApplicants must be 13 or in eighth grade at the time of a pplication and may participate through age 17\, or age 18 if still in high school.

\nWhat Is a Teen Advisory Board?
\nTAB is a group of library teen volunteers that helps the library and th e community by implementing\, promoting\, and advocating for youth service s in Montgomery County. TAB will provide feedback on programs\, assist lib rarians with planning and running events\, and serve as library advocates. You earn SSL hours for attending TAB meetings\, and additional volunteer opportunities will be announced throughout the year. Quince Orchard Librar y's TAB meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
\nLibrary Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range o f the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for childr en must have an accompanying child.
\nIf you plan to attend with a g roup of ten or more\, please contact the branch at least one week before t he program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
