Singer-songwriter Parker MacDonell hosts a monthly concert series featuring performances from local songwriters arou nd Columbus. From seasoned performers to up and coming artists\, join us o n the third Thursday of the month to celebrate the art of songwriting and listen to original music performed by local musicians.

\nAbout the Performers:
\nHost Art ist \;Parker MacDonell \;has been using his origi nal songs\, voice and acoustic guitar to \;communicate with audiences for years. A veteran of the Los Angeles club scene and college \;stude nt unions across the United States\, Parker was named &ldquo\;Best New Art ist of the Year&rdquo\; by the \;listeners of Pete Fornatale&rsquo\;s Mixed Bag show on New York City radio station WNEW. He picked \;up a b ushel of stories by playing bass for Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley during his California stint. \;He has released four recordings: Miracle on Broad Street with Matt Munhall (2017)\, The Present \;Tense (2012)\, Lookin g For You (1985) and Home to the Heart (1983).

\nTopher James is a singer\, so ngwriter and guitarist whose recorded music features funky guitar licks\, smooth horn section melodies\, and lyrically rich storytelling. His songs reflect Topher James&rsquo\; personality - confident\, opinionated and car rying an affinity for the finer things in life. He is a Bexley resident wh o started Move Your Music Forward to support the musical community.
\n< p>Refusing to take the route of his peers\, Chris "Topher James" Shaw shun ned the corporate world after a pivotal moment with his boss and began a j ourney of music\, for a living\, as a way of life. Realizing a common deno minator of all the music he loved was melody\, strong emotional content\, and soul\, he began writing in this style and studying the greats.
