  familiarize you with growing edible mushrooms in your yards and gardens\,
  and to help you get started. We'll learn what mushrooms are and how they 
 are different from plants. Tom will talk about how to grow different kinds
  of mushrooms\, and what substrates to grow them in.</p>\n<p><strong>Speak
 er Bio:</strong></p>\n<p>Tom Mulczynski has been a Master Gardener since 2
 021\, a mushroom fan since the fifth grade\, and has been growing mushroom
 s ever since he learned to grow shiitakes on logs in June of 2017. Since t
 hen he has cultivated over sixteen different types of edible mushrooms\, b
 oth indoors and outside in his garden and around the house. While he&rsquo
 \;s waiting for mushrooms to fruit\, he grows pumpkins on his front lawn (
 to the delight of the neighborhood kids and their parents)\, tends his gar
 den\, feeds birds\, and gets his exercise chasing bunnies from his garden.
